How to Save Money:
- Buy the highest deductible you can afford.
- Continue to improve your credit rating.
- Pay on time.
- Be sure your home is insured for replacement costs.
- Be sure you are receiving all the credits for which you are eligible.
- Do not let your insurance lapse.
- Talk to your agent about your coverage, and build a relationship!
Ways to protect yourself against identity theft:
- Never give out personal information over the phone.
- Beware of people calling to “confirm information.”
- Keep receipts, bank statements and credit-card numbers in a safe place and SHRED them when you dispose of them.
- Protect your Social Security Number; do not carry your card or write it on personal checks.
- Do not use obvious passwords or store them in public places.
- Review credit-card statements, bills and bank statements for accuracy and any unusual activity.
- Immediately report any discrepancies.
- Close any unused bank accounts.
- Immediately close all accounts and establish new ones if your wallet or purse is stolen.
- Be alert. Identity theft can happen to anyone at anytime!
